About Sinead
My culinary journey is rooted in where I come from and where I’ve been, bringing everything I’ve learned and experienced onto the table and in every dish with passion and care.
Born and raised on Nantucket, this is where my core values developed. The island taught me the importance of sustainability in my career, the value of using what is seasonally available, and the advantages to working directly with local farms. It developed my strong work ethic and attention to detail, which I bring to every aspect of each event, each plate, each bite.
My good fortune of travel is also a major aspect of who I am, personally and professionally. I’ve learned different cultures through three semesters abroad in Paris, Florence and across Japan, from my Irish heritage and being first generation on my mother’s side, and through personal studies of traditional cuisine from across Asia to Central America and around Europe. As a chef, learning from and respecting other cultures - their traditions, ingredients and techniques – has improved my skills and given me the ability to curate menus to each client.
Little Bits of Little Things
While writing the menu for a pop-up supper club on Nantucket, I hit a wall - not sure what the menu needed, where to go, what to add - to break the block, I wrote “Little Bits of Little Things” and that was the start. It emphasizes my meticulousness as all private events come with tiny details and it is my job to perfect them. It shows my cooking style of bringing in all aspects of my experience and personality into my menus and once we work together, you’ll know it’s a reflection of me.
What to Expect
As your chef, the fundamentals I will bring to the table are seasonality, customization and an organized, consistent and professional working relationship.
After submitting your initial request, we’ll begin with conversations on your preferences, your dining habits - anything and everything that will allow me to get to know you and deliver the best experience possible. Scroll through my sample menus, image gallery and send anything that stands out, including any outside inspiration you have. Starting there, we will begin building the perfect menu together. The open conversation style of my business allows for seamless changes and confidence on my attention to every detail.
My offerings include private dinners, corporate events, cocktail parties, meal prepping, in house cheffing and more.
